School of Pharmacy hosts 21st Mossberg/Mid-Kansas Management Rx Scholarship Golf Classic
The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy will hold its 21st Annual Howard & Ginger Mossberg/Mid-Kansas Management Rx Scholarship Golf Classic on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 at Falcon Lakes Golf Club in Basehor, Kansas. School of Pharmacy alumni, faculty, staff and friends are invited to register. Event sponsorships are also available for businesses and organizations to support KU Pharmacy scholarships.
Check-in will be from 10-11:45 a.m. with a box lunch served from 11-11:45 a.m. The shotgun start for the four-person scramble is at noon. An awards banquet will be held following the tournament at approximately 5 p.m. in the Falcon Lakes clubhouse. Participant prizes include first, second and third place teams in two flights; closest to the pin for both men and women; and longest putt for both men and women.

Additional sponsorships are available to support scholarships: $5,000 gold sponsorships, $2,500 silver sponsorships, $1,250 bronze sponsorships, and $600 crimson and blue sponsorships to sponsor a team of KU Pharmacy student golfers. Individuals may register online at https://rockcha.lk/RxGolf24. An individual registration is $150 and includes green fees, cart, lunch, dinner and a sponsor swag bag with sponsor items. Proceeds from the Howard & Ginger Mossberg/Mid-Kansas Management Rx Scholarship Golf Classic will fund scholarships in the KU School of Pharmacy. These scholarships help offset the growing cost of a high-quality pharmacy education at KU and make it possible for more students to pursue a pharmacy career.
Howard Mossberg served as dean of the KU School of Pharmacy for 25 years and later became KU’s Vice Chancellor for Research, Graduate Studies and Public Service. Dean Mossberg passed away in 2018 at age 85. He was married to Ginny for 62 years, and their wish was to support pharmacy students through the Mossberg Pharmacy Scholarship Fund at the KU Endowment Association.
