Rho Chi is the pharmacy academic honor society. Rho Chi encourages and recognizes scholastic excellence and seeks to promote fellowship among members. KU's Alpha Rho Chapter offers group and individual tutoring for courses throughout the pharmacy curriculum.

Shadow Buddies

Shadow Buddies Provides emotional support for severely ill children. Their Kansas city charity programs provide support through the education of children and adults regarding illness, disability, or medical treatments.

Boys and Girls Club Power Hour

Boys and Girls Club Power Hour: Making Minutes Count helps club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners.

Salvation Army Adopt a Family

Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family provides low income and families in need with toys, clothing, and gifts for the holidays.

Membership and Fees —

Students are eligible for Rho Chi membership during the spring semester of their P3 year if they:

• are in the top 20% of their class after completion of three semesters.
• have completed at least one-half of the classroom and lab coursework required for the Pharm.D. degree.

Prospective members are evaluated on scholarship, character and conduct. Members are inducted during the spring semester of the P2 year and become a lifetime members of Rho Chi.
