AMCP
The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) student chapter at KU helps student pharmacists explore managed care and market access. We focus on evidence-based medication use, formulary and utilization management, HEOR, and patient access. Our purpose is to educate students, build professional skills through case work and mentorship, and create pathways to residencies, fellowships, and early-career roles.

Community Service —
AMCP is in the process (Fall 2025) of launching JayhawkRx Home Health (JHH). JHH will provide home health services for the Lawrence community, with student involvement in access, education and care coordination. More to come.
Events and Meetings —
AMCP is planning to hold 1–2 meetings per month over the noon hour in the School of Pharmacy. Specific dates, rooms, and brief descriptions to come.
Membership and Fees —
National AMCP student membership is $45 for the year. We encourage students to join nationally to access resources and competitions. We will share any KU-specific sign-up links or QR codes once our campus roster process is finalized.
History —
AMCP previously had a chapter at KU prior to COVID. Activity paused during the pandemic and the chapter was not re-established until 2025. Nationally, AMCP has been active since 1988.
