High School Open House offers hands-on experiences

High School students and their parents or guardians have an opportunity to learn more about pharmacy school and the many opportunities the profession has to offer at the KU School of Pharmacy Open House 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 in Lawrence.

Students will hear from Dean Ken Audus, and Sr. Associate Dean Gene Hotchkiss, who will talk about the pharmacy profession, pre-pharmacy requirements and what high school students can do now to become better candidates for admission.

Current pharmacy students will also be there to demonstrate lab activities and give students and parents opportunities for some hands-on experiences.
