Student Organizations

American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP)  strives to be the collective voice of student pharmacists, to provide opportunities for professional growth, to improve patient care, and to envision and advance the future of pharmacy.

Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI) works to unite pharmacists and pharmacy students in incorporating their faith into the pharmacy profession. CPFI is open all all students at the KU School of Pharmacy.

Kappa Epsilon was founded to promote women in pharmacy, but men are also encouraged to become members. KE supports personal and professional development, provides networking opportunities, promotes pharmacy as a career, and supports various breast cancer awareness efforts.

Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest pharmaceutical fraternity in the world. Among its mission is to develop industry, sobriety, and fellowship, foster high ideals, scholarship, and pharmaceutical research, and to inspire in its members a deep and lasting pride in their fraternity and in the profession of pharmacy.

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA)  comprises students who have an interest in the independent community retail pharmacy practice. The KU School of Pharmacy chapter primarily focuses on promoting students to discover the unique opportunities that an independent community retail pharmacy has to offer.

Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society supports pharmacy leadership commitment by recognizing leaders and fostering leadership development.

Rho Chi inducts the top 20% of each 4P pharmacy class in the spring of each academic year. The KU School of Pharmacy chapter provides tutoring services to pharmacy students and organizes public service events.

Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP) works to develop and enhance the professional abilities of pharmacy students. Clinical pharmacists practice in all health care settings, including community, health system, academia, and more.

Student Society of Health System Pharmacists (SSHP)  is a national professional association that represents students who aspire to practice in hospitals, health maintenance organizations, long-term care facilities, home care, and other components of health care systems. The Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists exists at the local (SSHP), state (KCHP), and national (ASHP) levels.
